Old Owens Cricket Club Winter nets start on Wednesday 8th February

When: Weds 8th Feb until Weds 25th April

Time: 8pm until 9pm

Where: Herts Sports Village, Hatfield

Please try and make it along for as many sessions as you can so that we can start the season on a high. All are welcome.

Readers Herts County Trophy 2012

The draw for this years Readers Herts County Trophy has now been made and Old Owens CC have a home tie in the 1st Round against St Albans West Indians on Sunday 27th May 2012 (1pm start).

If we progress we have another home tie in the 2nd Round against Northampton Exiles on Sunday 24th June.

Welcome to the official website for OLD OWENS CRICKET CLUB. The club is affiliated to the Hertfordshire County Cricket Association, the Club Cricket Conference and are members of the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League (SHCL).

The SHCL is the largest single league in the Country with fourteen divisions including 98 clubs fielding over 260 sides. The SHCL works as a feeder League for the Home Counties Premier League (HCPL).

In 2012 Old Owens 1st XI will play in Division 3 of the SHCL, the 2nd XI in Division 9 and the 3rd XI in Division 12.

In addition to Saturday League cricket, the 1st XI plays Friendly matches on Sundays (mostly at home). In 2012 we have entered the Wednesday Potters Bar Midweek 20/20 League once again. There are also various Midweek and Cricket-Week matches during the season. There is therefore plenty of opportunity to play matches outside the Saturday Herts League games.

The Senior Club was formed in 1924 and moved to it’s present home in Potters Bar in the Early 1990’s.

The Facilities at Old Owens Cricket Club can be described as some of the best in Hertfordshire and you can expect to receive a warm and friendly welcome, in a very relaxed and sociable atmosphere.

The excellent condition of the ground is reflected in the high marks we receive from our League Facilities marks each Season.

The thriving OLD OWENS COLTS SECTION is for youngsters aged 8 to 17. The Colts play in the Hertfordshire Colts Competition with continued great success and we are very proud of everything that they already have and continue to achieve. If you are a colt or a parent who would wish to join the club please contact one of the Committee on the ABOUT US section of this website.

In recognition of our work with young cricketers, Old Owens CC have been designated as a 'FOCUS' club within Hertfordshire. During 2008 the Club also gained full 'CLUBMARK' status.
